Hani, part of Korean girl group EXID, successfully debuted Saturday as a host on SBS gastronomy show “The People’s Dining Court.”
In the latest episode, which aired at 6:10 p.m., Hani shared her feelings on joining the show, also referred to as “Baek Jong-won’s Top 3 Chefs.”
“I wished there was one who could represent a female’s tastes, because there were only male hosts trying foods before the camera and sharing their thoughts,” Hani said. “I will do my best to help ladies discover the best food and pick what they like.”
The entertainment show, cohosted by celebrity chef Baek Jong-won and comedians Lee Hwi-jae and Kim Joon-hyun alongside the 23-year-old songstress Hani, picks three restaurants serving foods related to the given theme in each episode. The Saturday episode centered on barbecued Korean pork ribs.
The episode devoted to pork was the first since SBS’ decision to air it as a second segment of the TV network’s prime time variety show. Prior to the episode, the show aired on Fridays at 11:25 p.m. Hani was invited as a guest on the Jan. 8 episode, eating “jokbal,” or pigs‘ trotter.
